Forget zoats, it’s now all about the smoats (yes, I just made that up). This smoothie-oatmeal hybrid tastes deliciously fresh and fruity whilst filling you up with slow-release energy to get you through the day. Not to mention the colour it produces it just amazing! I like to cook this and eat it warm but you can also leave this in the fridge overnight just like regular overnight oats ready and waiting for you in the morning.
50g grated courgette/zucchini (optional, you can just add more oats)
200mL plant milk of choice
80g frozen berries
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp sweetener of choice (optional)
What to do:
- Blend together the milk, berries, cinnamon, and sweetener until smooth
- Mix all the ingredients together and either leave in the fridge overnight or cook for a few minutes on medium heat
Serve topped with banana (trust me this is the best combination), fruit, nuts, seeds, or any other toppings you desire!
