I’ve been wanting to say this for several weeks now and finally the wait is over: the Plant Based Picnic is coming to Melbourne!
For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, the Plant Based Picnics were founded by myself, Natasha, and Maxine in London in August 2014 as a way for like-minded individuals with a passion for healthy food and living to meet offline. The Instagram community in particular is such a great way to talk to fellow foodies, and through the Plant Based Picnics I have seen picture comments turn into incredible friendships. In this way the Picnics are a unique event, they are not all about me and my food, they are about you and your food. And everyone else’s food too. Because everyone who comes to a Plant Based Picnic must bring a dish of their own creation to share with the community.
To date there have been 4 Plant Based Picnics in London, each more successful than the last, and always free. We now have a Facebook group with over 500 members, and are continuously growing, which is so exciting to witness.
Having spent the last 2 months in Melbourne, I have fallen in love with the city and the food and the foodie community! Which is why I would love to invite you all to the Melbourne Plant Based Picnic on Saturday 11th April in Grass Roots Yoga, St Kilda. There is a $2 charge to cover admin costs, but I hope this doesn’t put you off. Just get your ticket here and bring your best plantbased dish (no meat or dairy please, and no refined sugar) on the day! The best dish will even win a prize! But hurry, there’s only a limited number of tickets available – including 30 special early bird goodie bag tickets. I hope to see you all there 🙂
Note: to enter you must present your ticket, bring a plantbased dish, and list all allergens present, not limited to but including: eggs, gluten, grains, nuts, agave, maple syrup, coconut sugar, soy, yeast.
