When the wonderful team at Alpro asked me to take part in their Alpro Tops challenge I of course said yes! I love their plant milks and use them almost every day in my oatmeal and baking. I hadn’t tried their soyghurts before as I don’t usually eat many soy products but I was intrigued. Plus I knew I was working a lot that week so it was nice to be able to have a quick easy breakfast that I didn’t have to think too much about.
Alpro sent me four large pots of their soyghurts: lemon and lime, plain, vanilla, and strawberry and rhubarb. Plus a range of amazing toppings in the cutest little pots, and even a spoon with my name on it! If you follow me on Instagram then you will know that I seriously love my spoons so I was over the moon when I got my #pixiealprotops engraved spoon! 🙂
But now without further ado here are my 5 Alpro Tops creations:
Day 1: Lemon and lime soyghurt with chia seeds mixed underneath, topped with raspberries, passion fruit, kiwi, fig, and pistachios. This was definitely my favourite of all the soyghurt flavours; it’s just got the right amount of tang and is so delicious!
Day 2: Strawberry and rhubarb soyghurt topped with golden kiwi, quinoa pops, raspberries, coconut, and mulberries. This was surprisingly delicious, I had never tried this combination before, and was also a lovely pink colour!
Day 3: I decided to spice things up for a bit and made a delicious layered jar! Oats soaked in plain soyghurt flavoured with mint and cacao, figs, plain soyghurt flavoured with coconut, and kiwi, raspberries, and muesli on top. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of the plain soyghurt by itself, but adding flavours to it makes it really delicious and really versatile!
Day 4: Vanilla soyghurt topped with goji berries, passion fruit, kiwi, fig, and pecans. Oh I really loved this flavour too, the vanilla is really perfect and doesn’t taste like fake vanilla at all. Plus it works great in combination with tropical fruit and nuts.
Day 5: On my final day of the challenge I decided to go out with a bang! Bounty chia pudding, kiwi, lemon and lime soyghurt, and cherry nana ice cream topped with muesli and mulberries! I think this was my favourite because oats and soyghurt and ice cream is just the perfect combination! Add some chewy mulberries and some crunchy muesli and its just pure heaven in your mouth!
In my opinion, Alpro soyghurts are absolutely amazing for people who are trying to transition to a plantbased/vegan diet and are finding it hard to give up yoghurt, and also for those who don’t have much time in the morning to make breakfast. If you haven’t tried Alpro before you can find them in all UK supermarkets!
